Most parts of the country are likely to be generally sunny and dry, the  Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) says.

Days are likely to be sunny and nights partly cloudy with occasional afternoon and night showers and thunderstorms in a few places across the highland west of the Rift valley, the Lake Victoria basin and the south Rift valley.

The North and Central Rift Valley will likely experience sunny days and partly cloudy nights. Similar conditions will also be experienced in north-western Kenya.

Additionally, KMD notes that in the Highlands East of the Rift Valley including Nairobi County, days are likely to be sunny and nights partly cloudy with occasional afternoon showers over a few places.

However, in north-eastern Kenya, Coast, and the south-eastern lowlands,  days are likely to be sunny and nights partly cloudy.

Comparing the 23rd -29th, January 2023 and the 30th January-5th February 2023 periods, it is noted that both day-time (maximum) temperatures and night-time (minimum) temperatures increased over most parts of the country.
