Some parts of Kenya including the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin, South Rift Valley and isolated areas of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley are expected to receive rainfall while the rest of the country remains generally sunny and dry.

This is according to the weekly prediction of the Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD).

KMD says that the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Central Rift Valley and South Rift Valley are expected to have sunny mornings with occasional rainfall towards the end of the forecast period. The afternoon and night showers are expected over few places.

Moreover, north –western Kenya that is Turkana and Samburu counties are likely to have sunny days and clear nights.

However, while days are likely to be sunny and nights partly cloudy, occasional afternoon showers are expected over a few high-ground areas in the Highlands East of the Rift Valley (including Nairobi County).

The South-eastern lowlands and the coast are likely to have sunny days and partly cloudy nights.

Also days are likely to be sunny and nights clear in the North-eastern Kenya (Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo Counties).
