Though rainfall will continue in most parts of Kenya, the rainfall intensities and coverage in some areas will reduce, the Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) weekly prediction says.

The reduction will occur over the eastern and northern parts of the country while rainfall is expected to continue over some parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley and the Coast.

The Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and the Rift Valley are likely to experience sunny mornings, though occasional rains may occur over few places occasionally spreading to several places. Nights are likely to be partly cloudy though light showers may occur over few places, KMD says.

Moreover, mornings are likely to be cloudy with light rains over few places giving way to sunny intervals. Occasional afternoon and night showers are expected over few places in the Highlands East of the Rift Valley (including Nairobi County).

In North-eastern Kenya, days are likely to be sunny and nights partly cloudy. However, occasional morning rains and night showers may occur over few places during the first half of the forecast period.

According to KMD, North-western Kenya and South-eastern Kenya, days are likely to be sunny and nights partly cloudy.

Occasional morning and early afternoon showers are likely to occur over a few places. Nights are likely to be partly cloudy at the Coast.
