The entry of Regenesys Education Group, a leading global digital education institution, in Kenya is set to democratize access to quality higher education in the country.
With just Ksh. 3,000 every month for two years, Kenyan students can enroll in various degree programmes offered by Regenesys, including finance, business, public management, and entrepreneurship programmes.
The institution also offers artificial intelligence, design thinking, project management, digital marketing, data science, and cyber security programmes.
“We are thrilled to bring the transformative power of digital education to Kenya. Our purpose is to empower individuals to unlock their full potential and thrive in a rapidly changing digital world. We aim to democratize higher education in Kenya by providing access to digital education to financially and geographically disadvantaged individuals via Regenesys’ EdForAll initiative, which operates on a ‘study now and pay later when you earn’ principle,” said Dr Marko Saravanja, Chairperson of Regenesys Group during the office launch in Nairobi, Kenya.
According to a report released by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation in 2023, nearly half of the world’s out–of–school children and youth live in Africa, including Kenya.
Moreover, the Global Education Monitoring Report 2022 by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) indicates that although Africa has made progress in the education sector over the last decade, education equity remains a challenge.
“Something that differentiates Regenesys from other educational institutions is its holistic approach to education development. We work not only on developing the learner’s intellectual intelligence but also emotional and spiritual intelligence. We believe that it is important to develop an individual holistically. Knowledge in the hands of people without ethics and consciousness is dangerous. Knowledge without morality and spirituality is dangerous. That is why we have so many problems in the world today because we have many intellectually intelligent leaders but without heart and soul,” Dr Saravanja remarked.
Kenya is the sixth country in Africa that will benefit from Regenesys’ rich legacy of excellence over the last 25 years in digital education and innovation. It has world-class experts ready to empower learners and professionals from business, and government sectors across the country. The institution already has offices in South Africa, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Uganda, with about 200,000 thousand students educated in Africa over the last 25 years.
Through its cutting-edge online platform, students can access interactive lectures, practical assignments, and personalized support from expert instructors, ensuring an engaging and enriching life-changing learning experience.
“In addition to providing access to world-class education, research, and digital transformation services, we are committed to fostering partnerships with corporates, local educational institutions, government agencies, and community organizations to drive collaborative initiatives aimed at accelerating digital revolution in Kenya,” said Dr Patrick Osewe, Regenesys Director for Africa, and a former executive at World Bank.
Stressing the importance of digital education, Dr Osewe adds, “Several transformations are happening in Kenya, including the education sector. The government introduced a competency-based curriculum that includes digital teaching of our students. This is going to transform our learners from analog to digital. By the time they graduate, they will be computer literate and understand the power of technology and how it can change their lives and the world. This curriculum will enable Kenya to be the digital savanna. Having worked across the world and seen how countries have transformed, Kenya is doing something unique that many countries have not done.”
