The 1st International Conference on Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) in Africa will be held in Nairobi, Kenya from December 4-6, 2019.
The Conference whose theme is “Cross-border partnership towards achieving control and elimination of NTDs” is being hosted in conjunction with the 13th Kenya’s Ministry of Health and Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI)’s annual NTD.
The keynote speaker during the event will be Dr. Mwele Malecela, the Director, Department of Control of NTDs, World Health Organization, Geneva, Switzerland.
Other speakers will include; Prof. Joseph Mathu Ndung’u, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) Chancellor, and the Head of Neglected Tropical Diseases at the Geneva based, Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND). He will also chair and speak on “Strengthen Government ownership, advocacy, coordination and partnerships.
Other organizers of the three-day conference include; Africa Research Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases, KEMRI, Ministry of Health, and Pharmaceuticals Society of Kenya.
