Rainfall is expected over some parts of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Central Rift Valley, the Highlands East of the Rift Valley and the Coast according to the Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD).

In their report, KMD says that the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and the Central and South Rift valley are likely to have sunny mornings though occasional rains may occur over few places while others are likely to have afternoon showers and thunderstorms spreading to several places with partly cloudy nights and possibility of showers. Also, days are expected to be sunny and nights partly cloudy in North-western Kenya.

The Highlands East of the Rift Valley (including Nairobi County) is expected to have intermittent cloudiness in the morning giving way to sunny intervals. However, occasional afternoon showers are expected over few places with partly cloudy nights.

According to KMD, days are expected to be sunny and nights partly cloudy, with a possibility of afternoon showers occurring over few places in the South-eastern lowlands.

The coastal area is expected to have sunny days and partly cloudy nights with occasional morning showers over few places.

Comparing the previous review (12-18 September 2022) to the current review period (19-25 September 2022), it is noted that day-time (maximum) temperatures increased throughout the country. Night-time (minimum) temperatures increased over some stations like Kitui, Mombasa and Marsabit and decreased over Nyahururu, Kitale and Eldoret among other stations.
