Rainfall is likely to continue over some parts of the highlands East and West of Rift Valley and the Coast while the rest of Kenya is expected to be generally dry, according to Kenya Meteorological Department(KMD).
The organization says that daytime (maximum) temperatures are likely to be moderate between 20-30 degrees Celsius over several parts of the country as night time (minimum) temperatures are likely to be low (less than 10 degrees Celsius) over some parts of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley.
Moreover, cold and cloudy conditions, with occasional light rains, are expected over the Highlands East of the Rift Valley as well as over some parts of the South-eastern lowlands, the Highlands West of the Rift Valley and the Central and South Rift Valley.
KMD notes that the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and the Central and South Rift Valley, morning rains are expected over few places where afternoon as well as night showers and thunderstorms are expected over few places occasionally spreading to several places while in the North-western Kenya days are expected to be generally sunny and nights partly cloudy.
Additionally, the Highlands East of the Rift Valley (including Nairobi County) mornings are likely to be cloudy, with occasional light rains over few places, giving way to short sunny intervals. Occasional afternoon and night showers are expected over few places. Elsewhere in North-eastern Kenya days are expected to be generally sunny and nights partly cloudy while night-time temperatures ranging between 14-26 degrees Celsius.

According to the organization in the South-eastern Lowlands mornings are likely to be cloudy breaking into short sunny intervals for the rest of the day while in The Coast, morning, early afternoon and night showers are likely to occur over few places and night-time temperatures expected to range between 21-24 degrees Celsius.
Furthermore, rainfall was recorded in several parts of the country including the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley and the Coast, comparing the previous review period (4-10 July 2022) to the current review period (11-17 July 2022), it is noted that there was an increase in rainfall amounts over several parts of the country more so in the Highlands West of the Rift Valley.
KMD also noted that comparing the previous review (4-10 July 2022) to the current review period (11-17 July 2022), day-time (maximum) temperatures increased over much of the country with only a few stations including Lamu, Voi and Laikipia recording slight decreases. Night-time (minimum) temperatures increased over some stations including Kisumu, Kakamega and Narok and decreased over Nyahururu, Nakuru and Garissa among others.
